• Messages: All text messages, images, and other content you send and receive through the app
• Payment Information: In-app purchase records (credits). Payment processing is handled by Apple; we do not store credit card information
• Support Communications: Messages sent to customer support or feedback

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: Your approximate city location (derived from IP address). We do not collect precise GPS coordinates
• Device Information: Device type, iOS version, app version, device identifier, and push notification tokens
• Usage Data: Features used, messaging activity, session duration, and timestamps
• IP Address: For security, abuse prevention, and service improvement
• Analytics Data: App usage patterns and crash reports

2.3 Information From Third Parties

• Apple: Device identifiers, push notification tokens, and in-app purchase receipts
• Firebase: Analytics data and crash reporting
• Payment Processors: Transaction confirmations for credits purchased

• Core Functionality: To provide user matching, messaging, and real-time communication
• User Matching: To find compatible users based on location (city-level) and preferences
• Account Management: To manage authentication, account settings, and process in-app purchases
• Push Notifications: To send messages, updates, and important notifications
• Security & Safety: To prevent fraud, detect abuse, and enforce Terms of Service

4.1 Information Shared With Other Users

• Profile Information: Your username, gender, age range, bio, and profile photo are visible to matched users
• Messages: All messages you send are visible to the recipient and stored on our servers
• Privacy Control: You can block users to prevent them from viewing your profile or sending messages

4.2 Information Shared With Service Providers

We share necessary information with third-party service providers:

• Firebase (Google): For cloud storage, authentication, and analytics
• Apple: For push notifications and in-app purchase processing
• Database & Infrastructure Providers: For app hosting and data storage

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by Korean law, legal process, or government requests.

4.4 What We Do NOT Share

• We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties
• We do NOT share your precise location
• We do NOT share your email with other users
• We do NOT share your payment information beyond payment processors

5. Data Retention

• Active Accounts: Account data is retained while your account is active
• Messages: Messages are retained while your account is active
• After Account Deletion: Your account and messages are permanently deleted. Backups are retained for 30 days for system recovery, then permanently deleted
• Analytics Data: Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 6 months

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Secure password hashing with bcryptjs
• JWT tokens with automatic expiration
• Rate limiting to prevent unauthorized access
• Database access controls
• Security monitoring and suspicious activity logging

Note: No system is completely secure. Please protect your password and never share your login information.

7. Your Privacy Rights

7.1 Access

You have the right to access your personal information. Contact us to request your data.

7.2 Deletion

You can permanently delete your account through the app settings. Once deleted, this action cannot be undone.

7.3 Push Notifications

You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.

8. Age Restriction

HERE is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from users under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will immediately delete their account and information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed outside of South Korea by our service providers. By using HERE, you consent to such transfers subject to applicable Korean privacy laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Your continued use of HERE after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
